2019 is the first year the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service have run this event, previously known as Lighthouse to Skillion which ran for 3 years prior and have been a huge success.
The walk will start at Terrigal Beach SLSC and head north towards Shelly beach. You will exit the beach at Spoon Bay Road, Forresters Beach and head through Wyrrabalong National Park. Staying on the footpaths until you hit Shelly Beach (10.5kms).
Now back on the beach you will continue on sand and get off the beach just past The Entrance Baths, following the path over The Entrance bridge and back on the sand at North Entrance Surf Club.
From there, it’s a simple walk along the sand, keeping the ocean on your right, to Soldiers Beach Surf Club where the walk is completed (24km).
Participants can enter individually or in teams of 2-20 people. Minimum age is 12 years old (accompanied by a paying adult).
